Fratello Cigars Unveils Second Installment in Concealed Carry Program: The Detroit River

Ashburn, VA (July 10th, 2024) – Fratello Cigars announces the second chapter in its exclusive Concealed Carry program, the Detroit River, set to begin shipping to select retailers on July 15, 2024.This release continues Fratello’s unique journey through pivotal moments in American history, offering cigar enthusiasts an unparalleled experience.
 
Each release in the Concealed Carry series is a small batch of 1,000 canisters, containing twelve cigars each, with an MSRP of $10 per cigar. The cigars are uniform in size, 54 x 5 1/2, and each blend remains undisclosed to maintain the program’s mystique.

The packaging of the Detroit River visually continues this journey back in history, with both the jar and the cigar bands emblazoned with an iconic image of law enforcement officers pouring confiscated alcohol into the Detroit River. This image harks back to a tumultuous era when the Detroit River was a notorious conduit for smuggling liquor. During Prohibition, bootleggers would defy the 18th Amendment to supply liquor on the black market. When intercepted by the authorities, the contraband was often poured into the river, symbolizing both the crackdown on illegal activities and the resilience of those determined to find ways around the law.
 
The Detroit River blend is designed to capture the essence of defiance and resilience. A blend that begins with sweet and floral notes, evolves into flavors of darker fruits and hits of toffee, and culminates in an incredibly long finish, embodying the perseverance of those who navigated the treacherous waters to preserve their way of life.

Fratello Cigars Announces Shipping of Fratello Arlequin Connecticut

Ashburn, VA (May 16th, 2024) – Originally unveiled in March 2024 at the Premium Cigar Association trade show in Las Vegas, the Fratello Arlequin Connecticut garnered significant attention from retailers and enthusiasts alike.

The new Arlequin Connecticut joins the Nicaragua made Fratello Arlequin line. “We’re proud to introduce the Fratello Arlequin Connecticut as a complement to our highest rated Fratello Arlequin,” said Jennifer True, Vice President of Marketing & Operations at Fratello Cigars.

The new addition to the line, Fratello Arlequin Connecticut features an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper over an Ecuadorian binder and a filler blend made up of tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and Peru, resulting in a cigar that is both rich and creamy, with subtle notes of spice and sweetness.

This blend is offered in a box press format for a unique smoking experience. Omar de Frias, Founder of Fratello shares “With the Arlequin Connecticut, we’ve taken inspiration from the success of its predecessor while crafting a blend that offers a different flavor profile that is exceptionally balanced and flavorful. “

The packaging of the Arlequin Connecticut continues with the narrative established with the launch of the Arlequin in 2020, paying homage to the 16th-century Italian theater character, Harlequin. Like its popular counterpart, the Arlequin Connecticut’s packaging comes in two tone color boxes visually designed to pay homage to this picturesque character. 

The legacy continues with the Fratello Arlequin Connecticut which is being introduced in the top two best – selling Arlequin sizes: Robusto (5 1⁄2 x 52) and Toro (6 1⁄4 x 54).

Fratello Navetta Rated 90 by Cigar Snob

Cigar Snob Magazine, renowned for its discerning taste and expert evaluations, has given a remarkable rating of 90 to the Fratello Navetta. This recognition highlights the Navetta, which translates to “shuttle” in Italian, pays homage to Omar’s time in NASA.

The Navetta originally debuted in 2017 at the IPCPR Convention and Trade Show. It is called the Navetta, which is Italian for shuttle, and is now available in three sizes – each named after a NASA space shuttle.

Hey Fratpack and fellow cigar enthusiasts! We’ve got some exciting news from PCA 2023. First off, our Lunar Series stole the show and received an incredible response. We wanted to give it the spotlight it deserves as our de facto 10th anniversary release. We’re thrilled to celebrate this milestone with captivating and unique cigars that will surely impress.

Our booth at PCA was designed to immerse visitors in the Fratello experience. We embraced an open-concept approach, allowing everyone to explore our brand fully. While the lack of distinct booth boundaries was a challenge, we aimed to create a seamless and inviting environment. Oh, and did we mention the interesting addition of rum at our booth? It added an extra touch of enjoyment to the whole experience.

Now, let’s talk about the stars of the show—the cigars! The Fratello Sorella Toro is now available as a standalone option in the U.S. market. This elegant cigar with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers is a must-try at just $11.50 per stick.

Our Lunar Series, including The Lunar Cameroon and The Lunar Connecticut, has captivated enthusiasts since its release.
