It is not a common thing to see a press release about a cigar rating, for one, we sure love to be the center of attention on this one, since our very own Fratello Arlequin is getting a brand new rating to top the two from last year from Cigar & Spirits Magazine and Cigar Aficionado, whom both gave it a 91 rating.

Cigars are in some ways just like fine wine, which gets better with age, and that seems to be exactly the case with the Fratello Arlequin. If you look back on its debut, you will remember that we closed that year with the Arlequin taking the 6th place in the Cigar Dojos’s top 10.

The Arlequin was first launched as part of the Fratello Space Fresh Pack in 2019 and later released as a box press format in 2020.  The Arlequin debuted with two sizes, Robusto and Toro, later a Gordo and a Corona were added to the mix.

The Arlequin features a Mexican wrapper, Ecuador Habano Binder, and fillers from Peru and Nicaragua.

The new rating was given on Have a Premium Cigar, a subsidiary of Cigar Weekly, run by Jeff Slatton, who reviewed the cigar himself. He has been smoking cigars all his life and has been reviewing since 2007. He is a special correspondent for Cigar Weekly as well.

“Overall a very smooth/spicy flavor profile that was blended to an excellent complexity. The ash and the burn were minor concerns with an otherwise solid construction. 9.2/10, Joe Bob says to check it out”.
